169.x.x.x IP Address

This IP address indicates that the computer is not getting a true connection to the BGSU network. This can be caused by any number of issues:

  1. The network cable is not connected correctly to the computer's network port
  2. The network cable is not connected correctly to the network port/hub/switch
  3. The hub/switch is not connected to the network port
  4. The hub/switch is not getting power
  5. The network port is broken
  6. The computer's network port is broken
