Device Registration

All devices that are to be connected to the network must be registered with the university. This page covers the registration of non-computer devices.

Wireless devices without a web browser cannot be registered on the BGSU network. If your wireless device does not have a web browser, it will not be able to connect to the network.

Registration Request

To register your device, you will need to submit a device registration request. You must have a valid BGSU username (the user portion of user@bgsu.edu and password to complete the form, and you will need to include the MAC/Hardware address of the device.

Please do not submit multiple requests for the same device.

Within one to three business days you should receive an email letting you know your device should now have access to the internet.

MAC Address

Before registering a device you must find its MAC address (aka hardware address or physical address). We have instructions for finding the MAC address of some popular devices:
