Group Project Area

Group project areas are one of the ways that Residential Computing Connection is attempting to bring provided computing out of the lab and into the community. These locations allow for collaborative work to be done using computers that people can gather around more easily than in a conventional lab setting.

Software

Our computer labs have many professional applications installed, including Microsoft Office, the Adobe Creative Suite, select Macromedia programs. For a comprehensive list, see the following pages:

Locations

Group project areas are available in many locations across campus.

  • Founders, located in the computer lab and near the mailboxes
  • Harshman Chapman, located in the computer lab
  • Kohl, located in the community room
  • McDonald North, located in the lobby near the front desk

Large Monitor

Some group project areas have large monitors that are intended for larger groups. These monitors are connected to both a Dell and Apple computer, allowing the group to choose their platform of choice. These computers have the same software found on other computers in the labs.

Policies

The policies listed on the Computer Lab Policy page apply to group project areas as well.
