IPhone Wireless Tutorial

This page includes instructions on how to get your iPhone connected onto the BGSU wireless network.

You DO NOT have to fill out the Device Registration form to connect to the BGSU wireless network.

Set-up Your Wireless Connection

1. Start your wireless connection by going to settings on your main screen.
   
   
   
2. In the settings menu check that Airplane Mode is off and click on Wi-Fi to find a connection.
   
   
   
3. Make sure your Wi-Fi is set to ON.
   
   
   
4. Select "Other" under Choose a Network.
   
   
   
5. Next to Name should be blank.
   
   
   
6. Using your touch keypad, type in "bgsu" next to Name. It should be all lowercase letters. Leave security set at none, and tap Join.
   
   
   
7. Once you go back to your Settings "bgsu" should be listed. The wireless signal will be in dark blue to denote your signal strength.
   
   
   
8. Go back to the main page and open Safari.
   
   
   
9. Your home page should default to the Wireless Authentication Page. If it does not default, type in https://wirelessgw01.bgsu.edu/ in the address bar.
   
   
   
10. In the left hand corner there is a blue box to log in as a registered user.
    
    
    
11. Log into the BGSU Wireless using your BGNet username and password.
