Before Installing McAfee VirusScan
You will want to uninstall any antivirus software you may currently have installed only if you are installing an antivirus product from either a different vendor or an updated version or your current software. Typically, having multiple, always-on antivirus programs installed and running will cause a computer system to slow down and make it seem like it is still suffering from malware problems.
More often than not, antivirus software will automatically detect other antivirus programs and either ask you if you want the installation program to remove it or stop installation and ask you to uninstall it manually.
