After Scanning for Viruses

If any files were found, select all infected files you want to remove the viruses from, right click, and select the Clean option. Continue until all files have are clean and all viruses are removed.

Another option is to move the file to a directory created by McAfee VirusScan called quarantine, and any files placed here are prevented from running in most cases.

You can also delete the files, but some viruses may infect files important to the operation of your computer, and deleting these files may cause it to work improperly.

If the files cannot be cleaned, moved, or deleted, or you require further assistance, please contact Residential Computing Connection.
