Using the built-in browser

Since the PlayStation 3 has a built-in web browser, just enter the following URL http://ns2.bgsu.edu/, and fill out the necessary information.

You may require additional settings to get your device to connect correctly. If this is the case, please go to the Additional Network settings page.

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Power up the PlayStation 3 without any disc in the drive.

2. Once the PlayStation 3 operating system has loaded, select "Settings."

3. Once you are in "Settings" select "Network Settings."

4. When the "Network Settings" list appears, select the first option which is titled "Settings and Connection Status List."

5. The physical address will be listed under "MAC Address." Write this number down and submit a device registration at our Device Registration page.

Note: At this time we are unaware of any other settings which need to be changed for the PlayStation 3 to be able to connect to the BGSU network. Internet use which is not academic by nature is not guaranteed to operate correctly on the BGSU network.
