Resource Room

Each small group house contains one small computer lab, referred to as a resource room. Each of these resource rooms have at least one Dell running Windows XP and one Apple running Macintosh OS X. These computers are set to print to a black and white laser printer in the room.

Resource rooms are usable by students living in the house and are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This access is based on the cooperation of the small group house residents. This access continues as long as rules for the labs are followed and there is no theft, damage, tampering, or abuse.

Software

Our computer labs have many professional applications installed, including Microsoft Office, the Adobe Creative Suite, select Macromedia programs. For a comprehensive list, see the following pages:

Printing

Paper and Toner Supply

Paper and toner is delivered to each small group house resource room during the summer and is the total allotment given for the academic year. The amount of paper given is based upon 750 sheets per resident and a number of toner cartridges that can print that much paper.

It is up to the residents of each house to manage this supply of paper and toner. once it has been used up, it is the responsibility of the residents of the house to obtain more supplies.

Resource rooms in houses that are independent (non-Greek affiliated) are treated as computer labs.

Scanner

Each resource room has a Canon scanner connected to one of its computers.

Policies

All students using a university-owned computer must agree with the Network Policy.
