TiVo
The TiVo requires a USB network adapter to connect to the network. Please follow the instructions below, which requires having a computer connected to the network and the registration process to have been completed once.
- Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the computer.
- Connect the USB adapter to the computer and connect the Ethernet cable to it.
- Visit http://ns2.bgsu.edu and register on the network. This is, in effect, re-registering the computer, but the connection through the adapter as opposed to the other network connection that was used the first time.
- Once the registration process is complete, disconnect the USB network adapter and connect it to the TiVo. You may need to reboot the TiVo.
You should now be able to go to the network settings screen for the TiVo and have an IP address beginning with 129.1.x.x.
