Windows Vista Firewall

Firewalls limit network traffic arriving to and leaving from your computer.

To enable the Windows Vista built-in firewall, follow these steps:

  1. From the Start menu, open Control Panel.
  2. Select Classic View from the left sidebar.
  3. Open the Windows Firewall.
  4. Select Turn Windows Firewall On or Off.
  5. Select the On (recommended) option.
  6. Click OK.
