Wired Connection

Wired Ethernet connections are available in all residence rooms on campus. The university has a "one port per pillow" policy, meaning that in any residential room, there will be at least one connection per person that is supposed to be in that room.

Connecting to the wired network

In order to connect to the wired network, you will need to have a valid BGSU username (username@bgsu.edu) and password.

  1. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable to your computer and the other into the network port in the wall (or in a minihub, if present).
  2. Turn your computer on.
  3. Once the computer has started up, open up your web browser.
  4. You should be redirected to the registration page located at http://ns2.bgsu.edu.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps.
  6. Restart your computer.

You should now be connected.
